1997 – Wag The Dog – A hilarious flick showing how Washington's spin doctors manipulate the press.

1998 – Pleasantville – A comedy where two teenagers find themselves in a 1950s sitcom. Macy plays a perfect part.

1999 – Magnolia – One of those movies you just can't describe because it doesn't fit any genre. This is a must-see.

2002 – Door To Door – The true story of Bill Porter, a man with cerebral palsy who is determined to become a salesman, despite all the obstacles. This was a USA Network made-for-tv movie that was amazing! 2 Golden Globes, 6 Emmys, 6 other Emmy nominations, Peabody Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, etc … you get the hint. I checked, you can rent this movie at Blockbuster even though it was made-for-tv. You have to see this movie, this is a story that will grab hold of you and you will never forget it.

2002 – The Cooler – Oh man, Macy plays a Cooler, a guy with luck so bad he's hired by a casino to go around to all the winning tables just to change their luck. But then he meets a girl … Great film, you never see what's gonna happen next and the characters are perfect.

2002 – Seabiscuit – The ultimate in sports stories, and another one based on a true account. Macy plays a small role but it just goes to show he can pick 'em.

2002 – Thank You For Smoking – A hilarious satire on big-money tobacco. Another flick with awards galore (8 wins, 15 nominations).

I think I'll stop here, and while I was doing my research, I noticed a few bombs in his resume. I guess everyone is allowed a few. But if you'll look above, you'll see that if you want to see a movie and you don't know what you want to get, ask if it has William H. Macy in it. Nine times out of ten, you can't go wrong.

Trust me here.
